    Getting Started with Claude

Before you use any of our Claude-based products, you need to know where things live. This takes 10 minutes. After that, every guide you buy just works.

    What you need

    • • A Claude account (free works for trying it out, Pro or Max for full product use)
    • • A browser. That's it.
    Step 1

    Create your Claude account

Head to claude.ai and sign up. The free plan lets you try things out, but most of our guides work best with Claude Pro ($20/month) or Max. Pro gives you more messages and access to Claude's strongest models.

If you just want to test the waters, free is fine. Upgrade when you buy your first guide.

    Create a new Project

Projects are where everything lives. Think of them like folders — each one has its own instructions, files, and conversation history. When you buy one of our guides, you'll create a Project for it and drop the prompts in.

Click your name in the sidebar → "Projects" → "New Project." Give it a name that makes sense (e.g., "Bookkeeping 2026").

    Step 3

    Add Project instructions

This is the magic. Project instructions tell Claude how to behave every time you start a conversation inside that Project. Our guides come with copy-paste instructions — you literally paste them in and Claude knows what to do.

Open your Project → click the gear icon → paste instructions into the "Custom instructions" box.

    Upload files to your Project

Most of our guides involve uploading something — bank statements, notes, documents, whatever. You can drag files directly into a Project's knowledge base, or attach them to individual conversations.

Project knowledge base = files available in every conversation. Conversation attachments = one-time use. Use the knowledge base for templates, conversation attachments for specific files you're working with.

    Use Artifacts

When Claude generates something substantial — a spreadsheet, a document, code, a chart — it shows up as an Artifact in the right panel. You can copy it, download it, or keep editing it. Our guides use Artifacts heavily for output.

If you don't see the Artifacts panel, click "View" in the top menu and make sure Artifacts is turned on.

    Step 6

    Save and reuse conversations

Every conversation inside a Project is saved automatically. You can come back to it, continue where you left off, or start a new one. The Project instructions carry over every time — you don't have to re-explain anything.

Name your conversations something useful. "Q1 bookkeeping" beats "New conversation 47."

    Ready to go?

Now that Claude is set up, every product you buy comes with prompts and templates that drop right into a Project. No extra setup.
